Custom Workshops

 

At The Negotiating Table, we provide custom workshops on topics relating to Negotiation, Conflict Management, and Mediation. We provide training for corporations, government agencies, nonprofit associations, and industry groups.

Our goal is to give participants skills, tips, and tools they can apply immediately in their work. By combining sound negotiation theory with applied skills and participant exercises created for their context, we create workshops that are relevant to the needs of the participants and whose learnings carry over past the training day.

Have it your way...

Everything is custom-tailored to your needs. We first assess the needs of the group through discussions with management, questionnaires, and telephone interviews with participants. We then select the material that best matches your needs and create custom exercises and role-plays to put participants through experiences that closely mirror the challenges they face in their work. Throughout the process, we coordinate closely with you to ensure that the training achieves the results you are seeking.

Structure of the workshops

The workshops are interactive and fast-paced. We believe that subjects such as negotiation, conflict management, and mediation, are best taught through experience combined with short lectures and discussions.

Most workshops are one day long, and we highly recommend that you consider scheduling a follow-on day or half-day, two to six months after the initial workshop to reinforce the learning and help participants apply their skills on the job. We have also done short sessions of an hour or two, and longer workshops laster several days.

Moshe Cohen, President of The Negotiating Table, has been teaching and training since 1989. In addition to providing seminars through The Negotiating Table, he has taught at Bentley College, in Waltham MA, and currently teaches Negotiation in the MBA program at Boston University. He is also a frequent guest speaker on these subjects at conferences, business meetings, and professional associations.

The Negotiating Table's workshops are generally taught by Moshe Cohen, and if the circumstances warrant, additional instructors are brought in as well.
